The soccer industry of Portugal

From the 4th to 11th of November of 2012, the group of students of «Sport Industry Management» RMA program had taken part in an internship program titled «Portuguese Soccer Industry» that was organized by RMA business school. The internship program included: the tour around the facilities of the country's major soccer clubs (SL BenficaSCP SportingFC Porto), the visitation of the National Soccer Federation, multiple lectures and seminars, as well as attendance of the Champions League and European League matches (SL Benfica – FC «Spartak» (Moscow) and Academica de Coimbra – Atletico de Madrid).


 


SL Benfica (stadium Da Luz, the training ground and club's Academy)

Lectures:

«Business and marketing SL Benfica», executive director of the club Domingos Soares Oliveira;

«Fan's loyalty development program», the director of commerce and marketing Miguel Bentu;

«Utilization of the sports facility, case study of Da Luz stadium», technical director of SL Benfica Antonio Ferreira;

«The training of young players in the SL Benfica Academy», Armandu George Carneiro (Academy's general director), Joao Santos (technical director), Tiago Pedro Ferreira (the head of the scouting department), Catrina Santos (the director of the educational department).


 


SCP Sporting (stadium José Alvalade, training facility and Academy)

Lectures:

«Commercial revenues of SCP Sporting», the director of commerce of the club Waldemar Barreto;

«International activities of SCP Sporting», the head of the sports projects department Diogu Matus;

«Organization of the workflow and the formation of the soccer club's museum collection», the director of the SCP Sporting museum Mario Cascioli;

«Utilization of the Jos? Alvalade stadium during the off season», the operational director of SCP Sporting Enrique Estrada da Kunia;

«Organization of training and educational events at the SCP Sporting Academy», general director of the Academy, Pedro Kunia Ferreira.


 


Portuguese Soccer Federation

Seminar: «Various aspects and directions of activity of National Soccer Federation»

Participants: Joao Leal, director of legal department; Paulo Ferreira, director of finance department; Bruno Erreira, press-attach?; Jose Carlos Nerouseno, director of the IT department; Alvaro Alvino, director of the event organization department.
