American branch at the «Dandy Cafe»

A yet another Sunday branch was recently organized at the «Dandy Cafe» by the leader of the Russian restaurant market the GizNa Project holding and RMA's «Restaurant and Club Industry Management» faculty. This event marked the series of brunches, all united by the common theme of cross-world travel. The first destination on the map of the culinary cruise was North America: during which the visitors of «Dandy Cafe» were competing with RMA students in burger making techniques.

There were four competing teams In the category for «the best American cornerstone dish», two of which were comprised of RMA students and the other two made up of «Dandy Cafe» guests respectively.

The arbitering of the competition was bestowed upon the authoritative jury, which included: the restaurateur Isaac Corea (Black Market, Corner Burger, Upside Down Cake Co), the general director of La Maree restaurant and the lecturer at RMA «Restaurant and Club Industry Management» program Sergey Frolov, the Yahoo company representative Dennis Adamo, the brand chief of «Filimonova & Yankel» chain of restaurants Pavel Galkovskiy and the chief editor of Gastronom.ru internet portal Alexander Ilyin.

While observing the competition process, the guests of the events were at the same time able to satisfy their intellectual curiosity. To the attention of the public was brought a plethora of information, ranging from broad historic perspective of American cooking to the specific details about the various burger making techniques. The culmination of the brunch came during the spectacular presentation by the extravagant photography artist Bart Dorsa, who ran under the separate category of «custom original burger recipe».
