The future of restaurant business in our country seems to me quite succesful
A public lecture was held by president of the Restaurateurs & Hoteliers Federation of Russia (FRIO), Igor Bukharov, at the Restaurant and Club Industry Management at RMA business –school.
During the lesson the head of Federation told about some industry issues and actions, which FRIO undertakes for their elimination.

«This isn't just a pop up restaurant, this is a gastronomical experiment»
One of the highlights of the recently held Moscow based Luxury Hits business program conducted in association with the RMA business school, was a master class by Lise Uduak, the head of the department of marketing and PR at Kofler company. Since 2011 she has been developing a pop-up restaurant concept Pret a Diner, which combines the high cuisine, modern design and artistic atmosphere with a short lived pre-announced duration of existence of the outlet. Since the conception of this idea, there has been 11 such Pret a Diner restaurants that were opened up and shortly thereafter closed down.

Undoubtedly, the restaurant business in each country has it's own set of specifics having to do with the cultural, metal and gastronomical traditions, but anytime you deal with a real professional with extensive practical and theoretical experience in the area of management and development of the restaurant business, it is not very difficult to find the common subjects of professional interest. It is exactly that kind of person - the dean of the Boston University School of Hospitality Administration Christopher Muller - that gave a lecture to the students of «Restaurant and Club Industry Management» RMA business school program, in which he discussed the issues of marketing, competition, and the life cycles of the individual as well as franchise restaurant projects.

The restaurant Tribeca Grill first opened its doors 22 years ago in the neighborhood of TriBeCa. Today the co-owners of this establishment are the Hollywood stars and famous restaurateurs, among which are: Robert De Niro, Michael Baryshnikov, Sean Penn, Drew Nieporent, Bill Murray and brothers Weinstein, which makes Tribeca Grill highly attractive place for the urban socialites and other Manhattan residents. The participants of the internship titled «Steak houses, burgers and cocktail bars of America» (New York, Miami) have visited the renowned restaurant and met with one of its partners, the marketing director for the restaurant group Myriad, which includes Nobu, Corton, Centrico and Tribeca Grill - Tracy Nieporent.

At the recently held exhibition dedicated to high interior design Crocus Expo, the educational company RMA had been one of the organizers of the business program as well as the round table discussion themed «The role of design in the success of a restaurant». The participants of the round table included: Valeriy Lizunov (architect, designer, the architect beuro «ArchPoint»), Garik Gagarin (night-club promoter, musician, producer, former art-director of the night-club «Krysha Mira» - transl. «The Roof of The World» ), Vladislav Spitsin and Pavel Otroschenko (architects, the architecture beuro «Front Architecture»).

At the Luxury Hits exhibition, the educational company RMA and its "Restaurant and Club Industry Management" department were one of the organizers of the business program. Among the visitors was the renowned London based chef cook, food designer and head of the catering company called Blue Food Productions Tom Wolfe, who gave an open session master class.

The students of RMA «Restaurant and Club Industry Management» program had visited one of the most popular venues in Moscow, which operates under the world brand N.1 Pacha, during the visit they were given a lecture by the art director and the producer of Go-Go dance school Luis Goend. He told the students about the history of Pacha, who exactly works in the club, and how are Russian night-party goers are different from their Western counterparts.

American branch at the «Dandy Cafe»
A yet another Sunday branch was recently organized at the «Dandy Cafe» by the leader of the Russian restaurant market the GizNa Project holding and RMA's «Restaurant and Club Industry Management» faculty. This event marked the series of brunches, all united by the common theme of cross-world travel. The first destination on the map of the culinary cruise was North America: during which the visitors of «Dandy Cafe» were competing with RMA students in burger making techniques.

A lecture by the executive manager of group of companies «Food Service Capital» Michael Zelman (restaurants «Goodman», «Filimonova & Yankel», «Kolbasoff») was given at State Management University (GUU) to the students of «Restaurant and Club Industry Management» RMA program, during which one of the most successful restaurant holding owners shared his experience of recent opening of a steak house «Goodman» in London and the new UK project that is due to launch this November.
